Stay calm and burger on! You can still get many of the best burgers in Austin for take out or delivery and devour them in the comfort of your own living room while you #stayhome! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been craving all the burgers lately. I was reading through my guide of best burgers in Austin and was pleased to see that most of my favorites were still available.

I’ve put together a roundup of my favorite burgers in Austin that are available for take out. I hope you and your family are staying well and staying home. Please continue to wear your masks when you’re out in public for a quick run to the grocery store or at the trail for a walk. It’s up to each of us to contain the spread!

Sour Duck

Sour Duck’s burger is one of my faves. I mean, beer cheese…enough said!

Don’t share it. You won’t want to! You can get it for curbside pickup now too. Just check their website for days they’re open.

Address: 1814 E. MLK Jr. Blvd.

Hank’s Austin

Not all burgers have to be meat! I, historically, have not liked veggie burgers because they all tasted like bird seed. Enter Hank’s Veggie Burger that changed my tune so quick! It’s so so good…I rarely order anything else when I’m there. Packed with all the veggies, feta cheese and arugula on a gorgeous bun, if you haven’t given it a try yet, you’re missing out!

Their real meat burger is fabulous though and you should check it out if you can and want to eat a meat burger!

Oh, on Mondays, all burgers are 1/2 off!

Jacoby’s

Jacoby’s has been high on my list of best burgers and now you can get their burger for curbside pickup or delivery!

Address: 3235 E. Cesar Chavez St.

Gabriela’s Downtown

I was ecstatic when Gabriela’s reopened after being closed for about a month during the shelter-in-place orders. Not only do they have dang good choriqueso, queso, and tacos but they’ve got TORTAS! A hamburguesa chipotle torta AKA freakin’ delish burger! You MUST order it stat. It’s available for curbside or delivery!

Website: http://www.gabrielasdowntown.com/

Address: 900 E. 7th St.

The Cavalier

We’ve ordered from The Cavalier a handful of times since stay-at-home started and they’ve impressed us everytime. Good people, good food, good service! On Mondays they have BOGO, so their burgers are $6 each and that’s amazing! Order it for full price too though because their burger is one of my faves!

Address: 2400 Webberville Rd. Suite A

Better Half Coffee & Cocktails

For a solid burger that’s reasonably priced, Better Half is your spot! Early on when takeout was a new thing, they had their burger on happy hour! Even if it isn’t, it’s only $8 which is still a great price! Order their cauli tots too – I never pass those up!

Website: https://www.betterhalfbar.com/

Address: 406 Walsh St.

Hold Out Brewing

Better Half’s brewery, Hold Out Brewing, is now open! They’ve canned several of their beers which are available to-go and pair nicely with their Hold Out Classic Burger. Y’all, the burger is delish! I especially loved the addition of their ‘comeback sauce’ and it’ll have me coming back for more!

Website: https://holdoutbrewing.com/

Address: 1208 W. 4th St.

Hopdoddy

A consistent staple burger spot with some of my favorite burgers the last several years is Hopdoddy. I’ve had most every burger on their menu and really love their chicken burger (Thunderbird) when I’m wanting a burger that isn’t beef. They’re doing takeout really well and you definitely need to stop by! Be sure to order truffle fries to go with your burger of choice!

Address: Multiple around town

Jewboy Burgers

Jewboy Burgers has a brick and mortar off of Airport and they take online orders, so I totally took them up on that and ordered a Jewboy Burger, tots, and a bean and cheese burrito. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! Their burger definitely deserves a spot on this list and in your tummy!

Website: http://jewboyburgers.com/

Address: 5111 Airport Blvd.

Bar Peached

Bar Peached is open for dine in and take out and their Social Burger is not to be missed! It’s oh so satisfying. Love the Peached Sauce, miso caramelized onions and Japanese pickles in this bad boy!

Website: https://barpeached.com/

Address: 1315 W. 6th St.

Buddy’s Burger

The newest addition to Austin slinging some dang good burgers out of their fast casual spot. Check out their drive-thru as well if you don’t wanna get out of your car. Be sure to order some spicy fries and a shake to wash it all down!

Website: https://buddysburger.com/

Address: 9001 Cameron Rd.

Double Spicy Cheeseburger

LeRoy and Lewis

My visits to one of the best bbq trucks in Texas consists of eating all the Q, but I finally tried the burger and holy wowzers! It’s a brisket patty and it is divine! Such a juicy burg!

Website: https://leroyandlewisbbq.com/

Address: 121 Pickle Rd.

Dog Haus

The newest addition from LA to CloudKitchens is here and has more than just hot dogs! We ordered The Mensch – a burger loaded with the good stuff and pastrami and served on Hawaiian Rolls! REALLY GOOD AND YOU NEED TO ORDER IT ASAP.

Website: https://doghaus.com/menu.html

Address: 5610 N IH 35

Don’t worry, this list will grow! But for now, these are at the top of my burger list in Austin and all available for take out. Stay tuned right here for new ones as their restaurants reopen.

Bon Appetite,

Shveta
