Where to Take Out the Best Bites in Austin (7/10/2020)

July 10, 2020

You should see the list of restaurants we’ve supported via take out since March! It’s insanely long and I’d like to say I’m so proud I’m able to support them during these strange, challenging times for any business owner right now.

I’m starting a new series for the near term called Where to Take Out the Best Bites in Austin and I’ll suggest 3-5 places each Friday that have nailed the take out game and impressed me and my tastebuds.

As you’ve seen in many of my roundups, I’m including a map of the spots on my list for quick navigation access, but also check out the pics and videos I’ve loaded per location. I also link directly to the restaurant and menu (when applicable) all from the map for super easy peasy planning.

Otherside Deli

I love the sandwiches there. I’ve had so many on the menu and am slowly working my way down the entire list. If you’re new to Otherside Deli, try their Italian Sandwich to start. So dang good. And if they’ve got their cookies on the menu, order one! Their cookie is included in my roundup of the Best Cookies in Austin Right Now.

Cuantos Tacos

We’ve ordered tacos from Cuantos Tacos twice already – they’re freakin delish and hands down the best tacos in Austin right now. Our favorites are the suadero, carnitas and champinones (mushroom). We usually eat 4 each due to their size and do not pass up an order of their frijoles and a side of their grilled onions!

Andiamo Ristorante

Andiamo’s summer menu is my favorite of all seasonal menus! Act fast and order their lobster linguine <- it’s to die for. Always start with their bread – WOW! And I rarely pass up their ravioli of any kind. They’ve got Italian wines available as well and they’re from small vineyards in Italy that pair perfectly with everything Chef Victor makes!

Best garlic bread ever!
Austin’s Pizza

I’ve had a pizza or two from Austin’s Pizza at least a handful of times during quarantine. My favorites are the Mediterranean and Pesto Go Goat since I can’t do marinara sauce on my ‘za. Their pizza rolls are incredible and so are their wings! And guess what? You can get Easy Tiger treats with your order if you get take out or delivery from these 4 locations – Cuernavaca, Westlake, Four Poitns and William Cannon.

Da Boots Poboys Seafood & Soulfood

People have been raving about their poboys and since I grew up eating them in Louisiana, I had to visit Da Boot! Their truck has limited hours and it isn’t open everyday, but if you can plan accordingly, call ahead right when they open and order a shrimp poboy asap! Tuesdays, they have red beans and rice and it’s to die for!

Hope you enjoy one or more of these places in the upcoming week!

Bon appetite,

Shveta
