Is it just me or is time zooming by this year? 2020 has been a blur – I’m not mad about it since it’s the worst year yet. One awesome thing that has come out of it is all the take out I’ve had at home and all the local restaurants I’ve had the chance to support. Also, I love sharing my recs with you!
I’ve made it my mission to support as many local Austin restaurants as I can through take out. I know many of you are wanting to try new-to-you spots so here is another list of my favorite spots with the best bites I’ve ordered for take out! Get out there and support local Austin if you can. Our restaurants in Austin sure could use the support!
Remember that pictures and videos are in the Vessel Map rather than down below. If you click on a particular location, you’ll have the option to go to their website, check out a menu and see my pics and/or videos per location.
MezzeMe
Turkish food is one of my favorite cuisines and MezzeMe has an amazing selection of all of the greatest dishes that truly do the Turkish cuisine justice. Their truffle feta fries, meatballs, forever falafel, and lahmacun are delish and you have got to try them! I usually get their rice or grains, but if you are a salad person, they’ve got quite a selection. Their online ordering system is easy peasy!
Missed last week’s roundup? I’ve linked it for you here for easy reading – Where to Take Out the Best Bites in Austin 10/2/2020
Sa-Ten Coffee & Eats
If you’ve followed me for a while now, you know that Sa-Ten is one of my go-to spots for toasts, chicken katsu, kale salad, and coffee drinks! As soon as the weather cools down, I find myself craving their Nori Tama (egg toast) or a chicken katsu plate with their anchovy toasty (tastes like garlic bread) as soon as it gets a little chilly out. They make syrups in-house and I love mostly all of the ones they come out with! Check out their location at the Canopy or Airport Blvd. when you’re wanting a satisfying meal!
Old Thousand
Guess what? Old Thousand opened a second location up north off Burnet Rd. and while it’s only open for lunch and dinner take out, the entry way is so beautiful so be sure to check it out (hello RBG and Mona Lisa)! I’ve been a fan of their #dopechinese food for a while now. Love their Brisket Fried Rice, Mala Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, Kung Pao Cauliflower, Hot Pot (in the winter), spring rolls, etc. etc. Can you tell I’m a fan?
Well, there you have it. Another week, another roundup! Leave a comment below if you go to any of my recommendations.
Bon Appetite,
Shveta
