Falling Into Love With Revelry Kitchen + Bar’s New Fall Menu!

You know how you have one or two go-to spots in Austin for that consistent great food and experience? Revelry Kitchen + Bar is that spot for me and the hubs. The staff have been there from the beginning (their 1st anniversary is coming up) and they keep their menu fresh and seasonal. Quite unusual for East 6th Street and what people know as the “bar” scene in Austin.

Revelry’s Beverage Director, Alana, is simply a genius when it comes to creating new seasonal cocktails. We tried out the new “If Figs Could Fly” and Pomegranate Margarita because the hubs loves an old fashion and I love pomegranate.

“If Figs Could Fly” – Bulleit Rye, house-made fig-maple simple syrup and plum bitters – the hubs loved it!

The Pomegranate Margarita was perfection – not too sweet, not too tart!

Of course, Chef Dominique always whips up super creative cajun-inspired bites with seasonal ingredients, like the Blackened Redfish Sandwich, Cauliflower Hummus and NOLA Style BBQ Shrimp.

Blackened Redfish Sandwich with fennel-apple slaw – so legit!

NOLA Style BBQ Shrimp – be careful, these have the shell on them but you can eat it if you want! Spicy and tasty!

Loved the cauliflower hummus with veggie chips and veggies!

Next time you’re on the Eastside and want some solid food at a normal time or even late, head on in to Revelry Kitchen + Bar. The cocktails, draft beers, wine and food is all on point. They have happy hour all week long as well as daily specials! Their brunch on Sundays for #SundayFunday is one of the best in town!

Brunch at Revelry Kitchen + Bar

We East ATX’ers love to support the Eastside and are always on the hunt for the best food and drank!

Mission accomplished — Revelry Kitchen + Bar is killing it, y’all!

They just started serving brunch on Sundays starting December 18th. You’ll want to stop on by for Brunch (Sundays 11-3PM), Happy Hour (M-F 5-7PM), or Dinner (5PM – varies depending on the day).

Chef Simon (previously at Chinatown) brings his Indonesian flare to the bites and you’ll love what he’s got going on in the kitchen!

We were greeted at the door by their new Beverage Director, Alana, who is super sweet and knows how to make a kick-a** drink!

Enter the Grapefruit Mule:

It’s got a kick to it, and it’s strong – and oh so good!

The parade of food begins:

Ever had a Scotch Egg? This soft-boiled egg wrapped in a sausage patty will have you shouting something nasty! It’s so good!

 

Curry Up! Rendang curry, 2 fried eggs, pita bread of course. You’ll feel all the feels after this one.

 

Biscuits + Sausage – the biscuits are jalapeno cheddar! Oh, that creamy gravy and rosemary is clutch!

 

Wings + Waffles – heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, those chicken lollipops aren’t your average wings! The honey-maple bourbon syrum and pandan sauce will have you singing for more!

 

Ribeye Hash Skillet – you had me at hash. No wait, skillet. No seriously, that ribeye is epic! There are home fries and eggs under there too 🙂

 

Splurge on the Lavender Pisco Sour. Trust me.

 

Finished off with the Deep End! Deep Eddy Peach, iced tea, lemon and mint. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

 

LisaMarie, who helped Jonathan Lochrie get this place started, knows what she’s doing, gang. This place has an amazing vibe, staff are so friendly, killer food, knock your pants off cocktails, and it’s on the Eastside. Head on over. Quick! You’ll be happy you’ve added them in to your Sunday Funday routine, dinner date spot and just a good ole spot to hang with a cold one!
