Admittedly, I stalked Pitchfork Pretty for their opening date for months! Within a month of their opening, I had the opportunity to take some friends visiting from San Diego for dinner. I was so impressed with Pitchfork Pretty, I feel they deserve an entire post on my site!
Ok, so I recommend ordering the following because this is how I ate them and LOVED every bite:

Buckwheat Cornbread – that’s honey miso butter with the prettiest edible flowers on top

Pimento cheese with embered chiles and whole wheat crackers – YUM!

Aguachile – I’m obsessed with this since having it in Tulum. It has snapper, watermelon, aloe and basil and it’s just too good!

Yuca Dumplings – come here my pretty! These tasty yuca pillows with queso oaxaca, escabeche and wild oregano had me singing!

Grilled Blue Crab with cucumber, melon and sunflower – this was just outstanding…such an awesome punch of flavors. Get a bit of everything in one bite!

Poached Ruby Trout with roasted tomato, fennel, and breadcrumbs – I’ve never had Ruby Trout but I’d definitely eat this again. So light and flavorful!

Last but not least, FRIED CHICKEN with sweet potato salad, rolls, red chile paste and buttermilk dressing – oh my word! GET IT!
We had absolutely no room for dessert but did enjoy a glass of wine (or two).
Officially proclaiming that Pitchfork Pretty is my favorite restaurant. I hope you get to dine there soon!
